| 1978 INDY 500 Corvette Pace Car ((( the perfect addition to any car collection ))) Bought New in 1978 at Capital Chevrolet In Montgomery, Alabama! The 1978 Corvette Pace Car production spanned a three-month period March, April and May. The bulk of the production rolled off the assembly line in March (4,091 cars) and April (1,675 cars). The remaining 736 were built in MAY over a 4- day span ONLY! Keep in mind this was the very month for the INDY 500 with RACE DAY only days away (The 28th). ((( THIS CORVETTE is one of the 736 cars built in May with a build date of 5/2/78 ))) Braging Rights: With only a portion of the documentation pictured here, this Corvette has it all!!! Carefully preserved this Corvette is still mounted to the original wheels that it rolled off the assembly line with. Extensive documentation from original owner to present. Air cleaner lid and console signed by AL UNSER Sr, the winner of the 1978 INDY 500. The glove box door signed by DICK SIMON, 1978 INDY 500 Driver Original owner pictured with Dick Simon NCRS 2009 Winter Regional in Kissimmee, Florida (Top Flight first time in!) 2011 Concourse dElegance in Winter Park, Florida. The signatures are 100% authentic!! I have documentation and picture to support them. Original window sticker is still affixed to passenger door glass. Title is clear, in hand....with NO LIEN! This Florida Title states 2,777 ACTUAL miles which is rare! The word EXEMPT is not found anywhere on this title. In most cases here in the state of Florida (maybe other states?) titles belonging to older cars have the word EXEMPT stated! following the miles. This Corvette does have the Optional L82 (220hp) and a 3:55 rear axle ratio.
